I have a funky new Sanwa trackball and would like to get pointer acceleration going. /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/30acceleration.conf is
Code:
Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "Sanwa"
        MatchIsPointer "yes"
        Option "AccelerationProfile" "1"
        Option "AccelerationScheme" "predictable"
        Option "ConstantDeceleration" "3"
        Option "EmulateWheelInertia" "4"
EndSection

When accessing a local display manager, this produces nice acceleration and
Code:
# grep AccelerationScheme /var/log/Xorg.1.log
[    25.750] (**) Option "AccelerationScheme" "predictable"

However, when accessing a remote display manager I don't get any acceleration. And strangely:
Code:
# grep AccelerationScheme /var/log/Xorg.0.log
[  1313.580] (**) Option "AccelerationScheme" "predictable"

I can get adequate acceleration with /usr/bin/X -query remote-hostname -a 10 -t 10, but I want proper acceleration.

Does anyone know how to achieve the pointer acceleration in xorg.conf when accessing a remote display manager?

Regards
