Hello,

Last W.E., I upgraded my system and after a reboot, I lost hardware acceleration.

Xorg.0.log contains :
Code:
[    30.051] (EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib64/dri/i965_dri.so failed (/usr/lib64/dri/i965_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
[    30.051] (EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering

After some search on this forum, I've tried to rebuild xorg's modules and even mesa, but it still doesn't work.

Any idea ?

Thanks

Code:
emerge --info

You have i915 in your VIDEO_CARDS, so that's what you get.

Ok, reading Xorg.0.log, I understood :

Previously, the card was detected as i915 but now, it's i965.
Updating VIDEO_CARDS and rebuilding mesa, solved the issue.

Interesting - I thought, that "intel" should be sufficient.

I don't think so, because if I remove i9[16]5, mesa is built w/o card support :

Code:
[ebuild   R    ] media-libs/mesa-11.0.6::gentoo  USE="bindist classic dri3 egl gallium gbm llvm nptl udev xa -d3d9 -debug -gles1 -gles2 -opencl -openmax -osmesa -pax_kernel -pic (-selinux) -vaapi -vdpau -wayland -xvmc" ABI_X86="(64) -32 (-x32)" VIDEO_CARDS="intel nouveau (-freedreno) -i915 -i965* -ilo -r100 -r200 -r300 -r600 -radeon -radeonsi -vmware" 0 KiB
