I run on my Host Gentoo Linux with KDE4. In a VBox guest Gentoo with the same KDE4 the fontsize are a little bit bigger than they on my Host.
I have checked so many setting in both KDE, but i do not find any things they are difernt.
Anyone any idea how i can make the font size in the VBox KDE a little bit smaller?
(I think the font size in the VBox KDE is a little bit bigger becouse the first start of KDE4 in the VBox was not in my native 1680x1050 resoloution, it was in 1024x768)
(Now i run the KDE4 in my VBox (in full screen) with 1680x1050 too)

That's puzzling. Which fonts are you talking about? The title bar fonts, menu fonts, a particular app? Can you link a screenshot of the two side-by-side?

Fontsize on my Desktop, in Dolphin, in any of the KDE-Menus ....
i can switch them to bigger or smaller fonts, but not exactly the same size they i run on the host system.

Sounds like DPI. Any chance you have a different DPI set in either of the two? Perhaps try adjusting that.

Very very strange .... :

Host with KDE4
xdpyinfo | grep -B2 dots
Code:
screen #0:
  dimensions:    1680x1050 pixels (474x303 millimeters)
  resolution:    90x88 dots per inch

VBOX Guest with KDE4
Code:
xdpyinfo | grep -B2 dots
screen #0:
  dimensions:    1680x1050 pixels (444x277 millimeters)
  resolution:    96x96 dots per inch

90x88 dpi looks better for me, the font is smaller but not too small
96x96 dpi looks to big for me, dondt like it

is 90x88 dpi a normal dpi setting?

i do not set it to 90x88 dpi, kde do it self

in which config file must i change in the vbox guest the dpi?
