Steam non-Default Library location

I was experiencing a executable mount problem when trying to add a different steamapps directory.
a quick solution to this is to link /path/to/steamapps over /home/<user>/.steam/steam/steamapps

might be usefull added to the steam wiki page in troubleshooting or advanced config.
