I'm trying to get xboxdrv working, so I can use my USB xbox360 controller for stuff, but when I try to start it up, this is what happens:
Code: | $ xboxdrv --dpad-as-button --verbose
xboxdrv 0.8.5 - http://pingus.seul.org/~grumbel/xboxdrv/

Segmentation fault

No helpful error messages, no "you've done this thing wrong", just segfault.
What should I be doing to figure out what's going wrong here?
edit: Gone looking around for how to get some more meaningful data and found this: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Bugzilla/Guide#Debugging_using_GDB Now to mess around with debug options. Is there a way to enable debugging symbols on a per-package basis, or do you have to edit make.conf, build what you want with debugging symbols, then edit make.conf again?
edit2: https://github.com/xboxdrv/xboxdrv/issues/32 same issue, need to run with --no-uinput flag to avoid segfault. |

I had the some problem some time ago, when I ran xboxdrv as regular user, it segfaulted. I solved it by running xboxdrv as sudo. |
