Hi all,
I found it very strange that the subpixel rendering is not enabled for all the Qt4 application under KF5. In KDE 4.xx, all the fonts in GTK2/3, QT4/5 has subpixel rendering properly. But for some reason, the Qt4 application lose this feature when upgrading to KF5 environment. Here is how my qtconfig looks like: http://i.imgur.com/yDAjRYk.png, compared to a qt5 application http://i.imgur.com/pA1bGSG.png. If you enlarge the qt4 snapshot using a proper viewer, you can see that all the pixels are in greyscale, which means that subpixel rendering does not works.
Does anybody have a similar problem? |

Same problem here and still searching for a solution: fonts look perfect with QT5/GTK but not with QT4.

I have all the infinality related packages (e.g. media-fonts/infinality-ultimate-meta) installed and enabled via eselect but, as you observed, for some reason QT4 apps seems to not honor settings under KF5 |
