ebuild for latest online Gentoo documentation?
Is there one?
I couldn't seem to find it.
Seems to make sense.
Is there a tarball of all of the documentation? Is it already on my system somewhere? I looked in /usr/doc.

| This is a good idea. I know the handbook is available online but the entire wiki would be great for example when the network fails and you need to get it going again. An ebuild which updates the local Gentoo wiki tarball say once a month (or week?) would be very useful if it does not already exist. |

a bit off topic.
gentoo without a proper network connection is not the best choice. linux mint is better when you have limited network access.
when you use linux for quite a while, and ignore systemd, those docs get rather unnecessary.
when you start building a new box as newbie you need to read a bit more but thats only once until you are done with configuring ...
i just pointed out the few things i instantly remember about online ressources. thats why i wanted to ask the topic starter which topics he wants to be covered.
afaik linux from scratch is in the portage tree. |

Well I mean more after a configuration or update failure on the Gentoo box. Or for instance when something goes wrong with switching init systems. It's nice to have some sort of backup documentation source. Most people have another computer or phone which can serve this need but not everyone.
Arch Linux for example has the entire Wiki available as a package. It's formatted for offline browsing as well.
