I have a Bay Trail tablet, and Linux has been basically unusable on it. The peripherals on the tablet were put on Android and/or ARM forks and never backported into mainline. So basically my tablet's screen, bluetooth, wifi, power indication, all do not work perfectly. Touchscreen support in Linux is terrible.
I did not try Android. I despise Android.
I tried Windows 8 on it (the default OS) and found it to work pretty well. HD video works well on the slow CPU. Sigh. I'll just use it for now. It was free beer software (since it has a small screen), alas I want real FOSS. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
