I think I got ACPI fully working in Gentoo Sources!!!
I first got it working in vanilla then tried my hand at gentoo.
The problem was gentoo enabled multi proccesing and APIC support by defualt.
This is my first gentoo install and I couldnt be happier.
Thanks everyone for your help and reply If anyone has any questions

I think that you should note that the multi processing thing that needs to be disabled is in the Processor type and features menu in make menuconfig. It is called Code: | Symmetric multi-processing support | and then make sure that Code: | Local APIC support on uniprocessors | is off.[/code] |

Is it required to turn off APIC? |

As far as I know.. Yes
I have ran into this problem with many different kernel sources. I think no one has noticed this because when they switch to the vanilla sources APIC is disabled by default, not the case with gentoo sources. I think the next step is to get 2.6.test9 working!! I tried and got a irq triggered error. I looked it up and it seems to be a bug but im not sure as I havent had time to look further into it.
