I submitted an ebuild for the new release of dmalloc (5.2.3). However, one of the idiosyncracies of dmalloc is that it uses an include file to manage its install options. You #undef and #ifdef and do crazy stuff in the header file and then it builds itself as requested.

There's only one flag I really want to see changed, but other people may want other changes (I guess that's just a risk you take with portage) - but what's the best way to make the change? Submit a patch? Or is there another strategy that I can use to make a change to the header within the ebuild?

Thanks,
