Hi, ALL,
Still trying thru the system upgrade process. It is very hard to do in the console.
I'm down for just couple of packages and trying to merge them manually one by one to make life easier.
So I tried to merge xscreensaver, which ended saying I need to run "emerge @preserved-rebuild".
So I tried to run that, but it failed with the following message:
Code: |
Messages for package kde-base/baloo
This package will overwrite one or more files that may belong to other
packages (see list below). You can use a command such as `portageq
owners / <filename> to identify the installed package that owns a
file. If portageq reports that only one package owns a file then do
NOT file a bug report.

necessary, refer to your elog messages for the whole content of the
above message.

Now, the nepomuk IS in the list of packages to be merged during '@preserve-rebuild'.
Should I just manually merge nepomuk and continue with '@preserve-rebuild'? Or is there another alternative?
But trying to merge npomuk, I see that it depends on the kde-base/baloo and it is a new dependency. The nepomuk upgrade will be from 4.12.5 to 4.14.3.
So what should I do?
Thank you. |

kde-base/baloo isn't a new dep - it's a replacement of kde-apps/nepomuk.
That's why it's not getting an update. |
