Running a stable system. In Thunar, I right click a PDF file, select "Properties", and "Open with" is set to "Atril Document Viewer". However, when double clicking the file to open, it opens in GIMP. I can right click the file and open with Atril just fine.
Furthermore, xdg-open seems to be configured properly:

What am I missing that Thunar isn't honoring the default?

Found it. Somehow my .config/mimeapps.list had
| Code: | [Default Applications]
application/pdf=atril.desktop
[Added Associations]
application/pdf=zzz-gimp.desktop;atril.desktop; |
I removed the zzz-gimp.desktop and all is well now. |
