I'm trying to install KDE Plasma 5 going by this guide from the wiki, but kwin doesn't want to compile.
Any ideas? I couldn't seem to find anyone else having this issue.

Here's the build.log (How do I attached the file to this post?)

emerge -pqv kde-plasma/kwin
Code:
[ebuild  N    ] kde-plasma/kwin-9999  USE="handbook -debug -gles2 {-test} -wayland"

emerge kde-plasma/kwin --info
Code:
Portage 2.2.18 (python 3.3.5-final-0, default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/plasma, gcc-4.8.4, glibc-2.20-r2, 4.0.2-gentoo x86_64)

Live packages might fail to build at any point in time. It could work again tomorrow, or there is a newer version of a dependency required that upstream has yet to reflect in configure.

The guide does not tell you to build plasma-live though.

As genstorm said you shouldn't need the live (9999) packages. Double check the "Unmasking and keywording" section and in particular make sure you have the path to the overlay/layman files correct.

Thanks guys that was it. Everything is up and running now after masking the live packages.
