|
|
For some reason when i go to edit the font settings in galeon, it cant see any of the fonts i want to set them to, arial, times enw roman, courier new, trebuchet and comic sans ... it can see, AFICT, every other font on my system, I can manually set them to those fonts in the prefs.js file but for some reason galeon crashes everytime i try to edit the settings when i do that, although it loads the fonts fine and it renders great. Is there some special way that it views the fonts, because i noticed when i edit fonts in mozilla it gives a different type of list with just the font names, galeon gives all the different options like in xfontsel. Any help is appreciated |

I think you are looking for "fc-list" command. Other than that I didn't quite understand your problem. The difference between xfontself and fc-list is that one lists fonts available to X server and the other lists TTF (and other) fonts available to fontconfig using applications. _________________ Light travels faster than sound. I had the same problem but didn't find any fix it, just surfed without the setting-dialog
Did you tried the newest testing gtk2 galeon (1.3.9)?
I'm using it now without problem. |

Zoltan: the problem was the font listing in galeon, it didnt list any of those ttf fonts just the ones listed in xfontsel. The problem is not with xfontsel at all. _________________ /* BoBB
