Hallo,
does anyone work with the Intel Parallel_Studio_XE?
I tried to intall it the other day and i got this error messages:

Code:
No compatible Python* found
This system does not appear to have a Python* version 2.4, 2.6 or 2.7 installed. This may prevent operation of the GDB. For further details, please refer to the System Requirement section of the product Release Notes.

32-bit libraries not found
32-bit libraries not found on this system.
This product release requires the presence of 32-bit compatibility libraries when running on Intel(R) 64 architecture systems. One or more of these libraries could not be found:
libstdc++ (including libstdc++6)
glibc
libgcc
Without these libraries, the compiler and the debugger will not function properly. Please refer to Release Notes for more information.

I definetly have Python installed (Version:3.3.5)
For the 32-bit libraries: I'm working on a Mulitlib system (https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Multilib_System_without_emul-linux_Packages) which should cover that (or not?).

Sorry I forgot about that.

Intel Parallel Studio XE is among other things a FORTRAN compiler, which is in general not supported by gentoo. The thing is that this compiler produces faster code compared to gfortran ....

I have Python installed therefore no idea why it is not working.

The more serious problem are the 32bit libraries! A while ago I got the news (eselect news) to get rid of the app-emulation/emul-linux-x86* but it seems I would need them now!
Code:
2015-03-28-true-multilib
Title                     True multilib support on amd64
  Author                    Michał Górny <mgorny@gentoo.org>
  Posted                    2015-03-28
  Revision                  1

Any ideas how to fix that?

Actually, those "missing lib" messages seem bogus too - on amd64, as long as it's not a no-multilib profile, 32bit glibc and libstdc++ are present.

As porfile I selected:
Code:

  [5]   default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/gnome/systemd *

Than maybe it is due to the not supported OS ....

Any other idea how to get ifort on gentoo running?

Well, short of downloading the blob myself, which - surprisingly  - I just don't feel like, no.
But you could for example examine that failing installation script and find out see what checks does it really make and why are they failing.
