LinuxFreak1337: First off, you should start a new thread than necroing a old one for a different topic.
Secondly, most virus in general are developed for a windows computer, which can not run on linux (unless through an emulator like wine).
Third, Linux as a whole is designed around security first, one user can not modify another user's files, nor modify a system file. Root is the only exception, hence why you shouldn't do every day work in root, only when you need to. Windows on the other hand is designed for simplicity and ease of use, there is no restrictions from preventing someone writing to the system directory or to another user's folder's.

Assuming a virus is built for linux, it won't be able to do much damage beyond your user profile (which you can simply delete that profile and make a new one). Now of the virus exploits a privilege escalation bug, then you have an very serious issue with a program (considering the linux software environment updates more frequently, these issues have short life span if you keep the system up to date; much better than window's software).
