Ater a time of inactivity in KDE desktop the key input stops working, I can move the mouse cursor around
but is not recognized by the desktop. No key inputs from the keyboard or the mouse buttons work.

If I press ctrl.alt+F# (tty#) to get to a terminal the keyboard and mouse work just fine, switch back to tty7 (kde)
and the input does not work.
I can kill KDE from a terminal and input works again, but fails after a time of inactivity.

Does anyone know why this is ?

Anything relevant in:

/var/log/messages (or the systemd journal if using that)
'dmesg'
~/.xsession-errors

??

Could be some hardware flaking out.

Maybe also post which hardware you have using say lsusb assuming it is USB.

No, no info in eater logs that could shed some lights on this.

Don't think it is hardware related ether, if so I should not be able to switch to a terminal session and use the mouse/keyboard
If I kill X process and end in the KDM login screen this problem does not happen, I have to log inn to KDE before the key/mouse
input stop after a time.

This is the lsusb output:
