Emerging xorg-server my gentoo tries to fetch x11-libs/libxcb-1.11-r1 as a dependency.
It has to be fetched on http://xcb.freedesktop.org/dist/libxcb-1.11.tar.bz2 where the tar is declared to be 506K ... but when it arrives at 169 K it gets stuck.
i tried to download manually and place it in /usr/portage/distfiles but it is see as partial download and then portage tries to fetch it again.
is there any solution to get rid of this dependency and at least being able to emerge xorg? |

It seems to be working for me. I have uploaded it to my Dropbox account, if you want to fetch it:
libxcb. _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." -- Calvin |

It seems that another process did not give up on downloading libxcb.
Try to find any processes that are trying to download libxcb by
Code: |
ps aux | grep libxcb
|
Kill any processes that match it.
You could also try to see if there is any hidden lock file in distfiles. _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." -- Calvin |
