After ugrading gnupg-2.0.26-r3 to gnupg-2.1.3-r1, seahorse and evolution were not able to unlock my PGP private key.
When I entered the key by hand it failed with the message "Password too long". After downgrading again, everything worked fine.
ARE THEY SERIOUS?
Can anyone confirm this error? Yes, my passphrase is long, but first, it already worked (so its no design limitation) and second, this is the whole fucking point of pgp - using long passwords to be secure against brute force attacks. |
