AdvanceMenu and Xbox 360 controller- rapid scrolling

I am using AdvanceMenu with the Xbox 360 controller. The Xbox 360 controller works with no issues in games. However, in Advance menu for menu selecting it scrolls rapidly by itself and will not stop scrolling. I have device_joystick auto set in advmenu.rc.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
