Hi I'm new to gentoo. I want to speedup booting time. I have thinkpad t420 and i am using kernel 3.18.7

When i boot system booting is slowing down at this moment
Code:
[    2.201858] Switched to clocksource tsc
[    6.759204] psmouse serio2: trackpoint: IBM TrackPoint firmware: 0x0e, buttons: 3/3
[    7.023040] input: TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint as /devices/platform/i8042/serio1/serio2/input/input9

I have 2 questions
1. What is slowing down clocksource or trackpoint? (time before line is when this was done or started?)
2. What can I do about it?

Use app-benchmark/bootchart2 to get a graph of what the kernel is doing during that time.
