I am using aqemu to emulate windows 8.1 update (trying to). My problem is that as soon as I start script to lunch aqemu vm.sh, my mouse and KB stroke gets trapped in aqemu and only way to get out of it is to stop the installatioin and "turn off the computer" via MS provided option. I tried CTRL+ALT, CTRL+ESC and WINDOWS + ALT and all sorts of combo but mouse is trapped inside aqemu windows. Any idea how to uncapture my mouse?

If it is an option for you to switch from aqemu to a script based vm management:
You could start the vm with qemu-system-x86_64 (or your used variant) and
connect via spicec to the display.

For this purpose, qemu is started with spice support:
Code:
qemu-system-x86_64 [...] -spice addr=127.0.0.1,port=${SPICEPORT},disable-ticketing,disable-copy-paste

where [...] denote your hardware specification.

And spicec:
Code:
spicec --title "Windows" -h 127.0.0.1 -p ${SPICEPORT} &

The the mouse does not need to be "uncaptured". I tested this with a win7 vm.
