Hi all,
I'm running an old nvidia card (Geforce FX5200) and the patched variant of the Nvidia drivers. Nouveau installed fine, but the responsiveness was not all that great.
Anyway, I recently decided to get rid of KDE and stick to running a stripped down version of Openbox, namely as I've been using that for some time. As such, I no longer have KDM and had to find an alternative. The only solution that installed (and worked) problem-free was Qingy. However, it's in plain text as the frame buffer is not working or I am failing to do something.
If anybody could offer advice, it'd be appreciated.
Best,
Alex |

When I have read correctly you need an alternative for kdm. I use lxdm these days. |

I tried lxdm and it didn't work properly. Unfortunately, I don't remember what the problem was. I thought qingy might be an alternative of sorts.
