I have emerged Firefox. But my application is named Aurora. Why is that?
Aurora seems to be a beta version of Firefox. I have no entires in /etc/portage/package.unmask or
/etc/portage/package.accept_keywords that would allow an unstable version of Firefox
# emerge --search firefox

philip,
Do you have the bindist USE flag set?
The builds using the Firefox name may not legally be distributed - even on your own LAN.
The bindist USE flag builds firefox in a way that makes it legal to distribute the binary. That includes changing the name.
e.g. Debian has iceweasel but its still Firefox. _________________ Regards,

Thanks,
I guess that implies I should use www-client/firefox-bin (with the bindist flag set) , not www-client/firefox? _________________ /Phil |

philip,
The bin is built for you. If it uses firefox branding, it will be built by Mozilla.
If you want the firefox branding and to build it yourself, set USE=-bindist _________________ Regards,
