Hello!
I'm using Gnome 2 since release. Since gnome-2 packages removed from portage-tree last months, it is difficult to update packages with gnome-dependencies. Gnome 3 is not my thing. Now I think about which desktop I should use in future. Mate, KDE, Xfce, Gnome Classic...
But then i heard about Gnome Flashback.
In Ubuntu-Gnome 14.04 and 14.10 there are three modes possible at login: Gnome, Gnome Classic and Gnome Flashback. Gnome Flashback is a session for Gnome 3 which was initially called "Gnome Fallback". It provides a similar user experience to the Gnome 2.x series sessions. The differences to the Mate project is that Gnome Flashback uses Gtk+3 and tries to follow the current Gnome development by integrating recent changes of the Gnome libraries.
Is it possible, to use Gnome Flashback with Gentoo? I didn't found any information about this.
