Hello,

i've just installed a new Gentoo with KDE.

Unfortunately it isn't starting.

after
/etc/init.d/consolekit start
/etc/init.d/NetworkManager start
/etc/init.d/xdm start

I just get the output after CTRL+ALT+F12

Code:

X server died during startup

X server for display :0 cannot be started, session disabled

I'm on a Dell Latitude E6410 with an Intel Core i5 inside.

Code:

x11-base/xorg-server
x11-base/xorg-x11

are installed.

What have i done wrong?

Thanks,
Rocky007

Looks like something may be wrong in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf. I suggest just removing it so that X defaults to the system default (/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d).
