How to present one's screen w/ VNC w/ mouse pointer visible?

I would like to use VNC (I've tried but X11VNC as a server and vinagre and tigervnc as clients) to present my screen (and what I'm doing) to others. I thought that was the second most important purpose of VNC (every VNC application has a "--viewonly" equivalent for that), so I'm surprised to find that I can't seem to get the mouse pointer visible on the remotes.

In the same sense I'm not able to find anyone having the same problem. I've tried various options on x11vnc (the clients, especially vinagre which comes practically without any options at all, are rather low on options) to no visible effect.

Any suggestions?
