Installing OpenCV on gentoo

Hi,

I am very new to gentoo.

I was trying to install opencv using emerge.

Command - emerge opencv.

While installing its dependencies, I got the error --
">> Failed to emerge dev-python/setuptools-2.2"

I already have a python 3.3.3 already installed on my system. I think that is the issue. However I am not able to get around the issue.

"emerge opencv" always tries to resolve its dependencies first and then it tries to install opencv.

How do I resolve this issue?

You should start finding out what the error is: ">> Failed to emerge dev-python/setuptools-2.2" is a consequence of an error, not the error itself. So you should investigate what the error is. If you can't do it yourself, post the actual logs here and we'll surely try to help out.
