username ID mapping on NFSv4 shares doesn't work

I noticed that username mapping between local NFSv4 server and my client doesn't work.

Both machines use just uids and ignore usernames.

Until now, I have had setup /etc/idmapd.conf so that "static" mapping method is used and I have listed usrnames I want to have mapped.

It used to work, it doesn't work now.

As I understand, they have libnfsidmap now for that, but it doesn't work for me, so I tried removing it and recompiling nfs-utils without nfsidmap USE flag.

Does this work for anyone here and do you have it set up ?

I have simple configuration, without kerberos or gss, with just a need for simple mapping of couple usernames.

I tried emerging newest nfs-utils-1.3.1. It works the same ( without id mapping).

I also tried it once with NFS4, but never got the mapping working as it should do.

At home, I use the same user/group IDs and names on both server and client to have consistent mapping. At work does LDAP with kerberos the job.
