I have read articles about how murrine can be used to achieve an rgba-based gtk experience. I am interested in pursuing this on Gentoo, using Compton as my desktop compositor. I read this article: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam/RgbaGtkWithPPA/, built rgbagtk, and nothing happened. Any ideas as to how I can get this to work?
Thanks! |

I know nothing about this rgba-gtk thing (or whatever it is called), but to get transparency you need a compositor. So, you either need a desktop with compositing capabilities or you need a standalone compositor, such as compton. And then, I fail to see why you would need a hack in murrine to get transparent windows... _________________ Gentoo Handbook | My website |
