Hello,

I installed RC1 fine with my current setup, a USB Logitech keyboard and mouse connected to a USB KVM. After the installation, I didn't have a keyboard and mouse. I messed with the kernel to try to fix this problem. I enabled USB HID support and various other things I thought were necessary to enable USB keyboard and mouse support within the kernel. Upon completion of this, my keyboard and mouse were detected and looked like they loaded correctly. Once I got to the loggon though, the keyboard no longer worked. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Did you enable mouse and keyboard support under "Input core support"? Also, there are some BIOS settings than affect USB keyboards, you may want to twaddle those a bit.

1. Yes, I did enable mouse and keyboard support there.
2. Why would I need to tweak the BIOS? It worked for the install and works till gentoo boots.

ok, I figured it out. I had enabled UHCI Alternate instead of the reguar one. Once I unchecked the alternate, the regular one appeared. After checking that off, the keyboard worked fine.

Thanks
