I've installed Gentoo, X Kde and Gnome but when i try to install Alsa, I can't find any file device in /dev ( /dev/dsp or /dev/sound directory )
My sound card is a Creative Labs Platinum Ex.
Thanks |

This usually happens if you don't have the right drivers compiled into your kernel for your sound card, or if you compiled them as modules and the modules aren't loaded. _________________ "An empty head is not really empty; it is stuffed with rubbish.
