I am using a Sun Blade 100 with the USB Type 6 keyboard and mouse.

Running under twm in an xterm window, I issue

$ emacs &

and emacs starts. Most of the functionality is there, but Control-mouse up events get lost.

When I issue

Quote:
<down-mouse-1> <mouse-movement>
<mouse-1> C-h l <C-down-mouse-1> <C-mouse-1> C-h l

(the 'C-' indicates that the control key is held down).

the 'lossage' buffer contains this

Quote:
<down-mouse-1> <mouse-movement>
<mouse-1> C-h l <C-down-mouse-1> C-h l

on its tail.

In other words emacs isn't seeing the mouse up event when the control key is depressed (no <C-mouse-1>) even though it sees it when the control key is not held down (<mouse-1>.)

FWIW, when I

grep [Mm]ouse XFree86.0.log

I get

Quote:
(**) |-->Input Device "Mouse0"
(II) LoadModule: "mouse"
(II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/input/mouse_drv.o
(II) Module mouse: vendor="The XFree86 Project"
(==) ATI(0): Silken mouse enabled
(**) Mouse0: Protocol: "auto"
(**) Mouse0: Core Pointer
(**) Mouse0: Emulate3Buttons, Emulate3Timeout: 50
(==) Mouse0: Buttons: 3
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Mouse0" (type: MOUSE)
(II) Mouse0: ps2EnableDataReporting: succeeded
(II) Mouse0: ps2EnableDataReporting: succeeded
(II) Mouse autoprobe: selecting MouseManPlusPS/2 protocol

Can anyone clue me in towhere I should look for problems.

Chuck
