I was wondering if anybody has wrote any new scripts for phoenix that avoids that profile stuff if you try and launch it again once already running. Basicaly checking for the process and if already runing and such. I'm just feeling lazy I'll probably make one later once I get time if nobody else has already. _________________ 01001010 01010100 01001000 01001010 |

Hey guys, I am trying to make a ebuild, here it is http://linux.darylstimm.com/phoenix-0.1.ebuild
It currently has some issues. Like for example, it doesnt work:-)
It compiles fine but once it gets to the Install part it gives me an error.
everytime I change one thing I have to restart the compile from scratch.
And since phoenix requires mozilla-trunk its a long compile time.
check out the ebuild and the tar ball I made. the tarball works fine if you want to ./configure make make install....
I will have this ebuild fixed soon!
I just wanted to show you my progress so far. |

You are much farther along than I am, so I'll test your ebuild.
EDIT: Still building an hour later. I really need to upgrade my system.
EDIT 2: Woohooo... it finally failed _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

looks like its failing when it tries to make the mozilla tarball, so I commented out those lines and it got past that. Now it is complaining about the unix.js file that needs to be patched. I never removed that patch because phoenix and mozilla use the same files. If I have to uncomment that to work we will have to manually edit the unix.js file to get truetype fonts. unless we make another patch. (but I wont do that until I get the ebuild working). |
