After installing 1.4rc1 (using the online documentation), I rebooted. The system boots just fine, but does not bring up any network cards (or even try to, for that matter).
I can manually bring an interface online using ifconfig, so I know that the interface(s) work, and that the kernel has the proper drivers compiled into it.
I ran rc-update just like it says to in Code Listing 40 and 41 (I have 2 NICS).
System: Dell Optiplex GX1, P][-350mhz, internal 3c905B NIC, and an additional 3c590 PCI NIC installed for internet usage.
There are no errors when running rc-update add net.eth1 default, and multiple reboots have not corrected the problem.
Any ideas? Or do you need any particular log output (using syslog-ng).
