how do you edit make.conf? i cant find vi or any editor? i need to add SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage"

Gentoo comes installed with nano

To use it

Code:
nano -w filename


where filename is the file you need to edit
It's identical to pico (editor for pine)
