|
|
Hello,
I'm working on a new laptop install, and I can't seem to figure out why I have no terminal scrolling with Shift+PgUp. The keys seem to work just fine as pressing them without shift will call from bash history, but I can't get any type of scrolling when combining with shift.
Any thoughts regarding where to start troubleshooting?
Thank you.
Cheers,

If you're talking of the normal terminal rather than a graphical one and using kernel 5.9.x, that's likely because it removed support.
Doesn't work for me anymore either on efifb, I'd suggest using tmux, screen, or similar to get a scrollback buffer. |

Wow, thank you for the link; I'm not sure how I missed that announcement. Sad, really, but I guess I understand the rationale for it.
Cheers,

I extensively used shift PgUp in Linux console.
My strong vote to reintroduce this option. It is very useful with a text-based Gentoo _________________ Tyan Tiger K8W (S2875) - dual Opteron 248 - Sil3114 SATA RAID - 2 Gb RAM - Radeon 9200SE-T |
