Hi,
after I upgraded my system along with my distribution Kernel, X doesn't start with startx anymore

I have the binary nvidia drivers (x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers)
Kernel where X works: linux-6.6.16-gentoo-dist
Kernel where X doesn't work: linux-6.6.21-gentoo-dist

maybe you forgot emerge -va @module-rebuild, because of new kernel.
from Gentoo Wiki
