Hello.
How can I make a bootable USB flash drive with uefi support?
Previously, I created a bootable flash drive on Windows.
I'm interested in the creation process on Linux using the gentoo system.
iso amd64 image from here https://www.gentoo.org/downloads/ _________________ BSD, Linux systems blog |

Start here. I think it's all you need to know, but if not, it's a good starting point.
Best Regards,

It kinda depends on what you actually want. Live CD guides do contain a lot of good information on running linux from read-only media, definitely worth a read.
However, another option is to just do a regular installation on that stick, just like you would with any hard drive.
Also, if you downloaded a ready-made liveCD iso, chances are it will "just work" after you dd it onto a USB stick. Hybrid images (cdfs+fat with mbr) have been around for ages, it just makes sense to add efi to the mix when it became popular. Making such an image yourself is a more difficult by a notch; once you're comfortable with both, liveCD and efi boot, it should be easy to put the pieces together. _________________ Make Computing Fun Again |

That's the current version. I used one of the Feb releases in Feb for a look see and as the live system for an install. It worked well booted in uefi. |
How can I create a bootable UEFI flash drive from this ISO image using standard Linux tools? _________________ BSD, Linux systems blog |

Understand that this was easily found by searching the wiki.

When using the Gentoo Installation CD ISOs, it is sufficient to directly copy the ISO contents onto the USB device. The dd command can be used to accomplish this. |
That is a Linux method that I have never used.
I have used various methods over the years, Raspberry Pi Imager, and Balena Etcher both currently work on Linux, MacOS, or Windows.
Depending on your particular motherboard, you may also have the choice for bios boot or UEFI boot, selectable from whatever boot order option that particular motherboard offers. |
