Hi,
This is more of an oddity I'd like to understand rather than a grave issue (I think!). I'm using kde-apps/spectacle-23.08.4 on Plasma (X11) desktop to take screenshots.
When I run a KDE session in TigerVNC server, taking a screenshot will cause this output to appear in the first open terminal in Yakuake:
Code: | MESA-LOADER: failed to open zink: /usr/lib64/dri/zink_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (search paths /usr/lib64/dri, suffix _dri)
failed to load driver: zink
Omitting both --window and --windowclass arguments is not recommended |
In a normal (not VNC) session, only the bottom line appears.
I haven't seen this output in any other context. Why is this one action looking for OpenGL-on-Vulkan only when in VNC?
Code: | $ emerge --info media-libs/mesa
[...]
System uname: Linux-6.6.9-gentoo-x86_64-Intel-R-_Core-TM-_i7-7600U_CPU_@_2.80GHz-with-glibc2.38
[...]
media-libs/mesa-23.3.2::gentoo was built with the following:
USE="X gles2 llvm lm-sensors proprietary-codecs vaapi vulkan wayland zstd -d3d9 -debug -gles1 -opencl -osmesa (-selinux) -test -unwind -valgrind -vdpau -vulkan-overlay -xa -zink" ABI_X86="(64) -32 (-x32)" CPU_FLAGS_X86="sse2" VIDEO_CARDS="intel -d3d12 (-freedreno) -lavapipe (-lima) -nouveau (-panfrost) -r300 -r600 -radeon -radeonsi (-v3d) (-vc4) -virgl (-vivante) -vmware"
FEATURES="news userfetch qa-unresolved-soname-deps pkgdir-index-trusted assume-digests binpkg-docompress usersync distlocks unknown-features-warn strict ipc-sandbox pid-sandbox usersandbox multilib-strict fixlafiles merge-sync userpriv network-sandbox buildpkg-live unmerge-logs fail-clean preserve-libs binpkg-dostrip ebuild-locks sfperms unmerge-orphans binpkg-logs sandbox protect-owned" |
I doubt it's important as the app still works perfectly well, but is there anything to be said for building mesa with USE=zink ? |
