Hi, recently I've got locked out out of my raspberry pi because PAM broke. This got me thinking about usefulness of default PAM config with sshd with pub key authentication. Which modules make sense to use with sshd? For example does tally2 still work with sshd with pubkey? |

It's not very useful. Sshd does key authentication internally anyway, no modules needed. I actually removed it completely from my vps.
Actually, looking at my sshd_config, I suppose this file could probably be left empty and sshd would still work... It would allow password authentication though, which I completely disabled.

I find gentoo configs of a bunch of those internet tools quite confusing (like apache... I can see its config has some ties to emerge, but It's easier to scrap it and do it myself than reverse-engineer the provided template) |
