Seems a little bit terrible ... On my Notebook there are only two insignificant Comments

on the USB on the button, there is nothing in lsusb - Is it damaged? If i put it in the upper one (both are working), there is that (i paste both): | Code: | Bus 001 Device 004: ID 058f:6387 Alcor Micro Corp. Flash Drive

May be your device or cable is wrong type? the bottom(below) USB port is for USB 2. |

I've used the same USB (USB2) Stick for testing all Onboard USB Slots. Like i have written in the first post, in the bottom USB Slot (Called "USB2.0 (shared with Type-C)") my USB Stick doesn't work, in the top USB2.0 Slot it's recognized as "Bus 001 Device 002: ID 058f:6387 Alcor Micro Corp. Flash Drive". And no, there is nothing pluged in in the Type-C Slot.

on ROCK 5B it's the one near the USB-C port.

on Indiedroid Nova, both USB 3.0 Type-A ports only support SuperSpeed (3.0) devices. It is possible to connect USB 2.0 / 1.1 devices with an USB-C OTG dongle.

What doesn't work:
USB 2.0-only ports (depending on how they're wired up internally, for instance the vertically mounted USB 2.0 port on the Orange Pi 5 is shared with USB 3 on the Type-C and so it does work)
Proper CPU frequency scaling. Cores are now set to their maximum frequency (1.8 GHz on little cores, 2.4 GHz on the big ones), but Windows reports lower values.
Some USB 3.0 SATA to USB enclosures or drives using the following chipsets have been reported to not work. Your mileage may vary.

Everything else (PCIe, SATA, SDIO, GMAC Ethernet, Audio (I2S), Display management (incl. DP alt mode), GPU acceleration, NPU, video decoders, GPIO, PWM, SARADC, I2C, SPI, etc.) |
Thanks, seems like a useful script and notes.
I have searched a lot and like Sebastian Reichel (german kernel engineer at collabora) also says: The documentation is awful.
It seems like that's a driver / kernel problem which will be solved with newer kernel versions. collabora works on the rk3588 chipset drivers for the kernel, some patches are in the kernel tree since version 6.3, the genkernel is currently at 6.6. If that kernel boots i can say if it's solved or not - i'm working on it. |
