Just wanted to share the good news: UT2003 has gone gold, and the linux client/server will be in the box!

Linux Support
The Linux installer is included on Disc 3 of the 3 CD set! We support both client and server for Linux. Unfortunately there's no mention of Linux on the box because we didn't know it would be done in time so please tell all your Linux gaming friends that UT2003 is ready for them!

That's good news indeed.
Although I hoped they would have worked a bit longer on the OpenGL engine, so it would run better on linux systems. It's also very demanding, even when running it in Windows with D3D. Perhaps it will be better in the full game, I don't know how much time there was between creation of the demo and the final version.
No matter what, it should be in stores rather soon now. And I'm sure to go buy it, because I really enjoyed Unreal & UT and this one even has official linux support, so that is really a great thing.
See you on the servers
