I've only been using this system for a month so I don't know if this constitutes a bug.
For context I'm running a systemd llvm merged-usr profile. I don't have any custom SSH configuration
so I don't believe this has anything to do with the recent config changes.

When compiling, emake fails with nothing but the generic error message:

Code:
make[1]: Leaving directory '/var/tmp/portage/net-misc/openssh-9.3_p1-r1/work/openssh-9.3p1/openbsd-compat'
 * ERROR: net-misc/openssh-9.3_p1-r1::gentoo failed (compile phase):
 *   emake failed

The last two commands ran are:
Code:
llvm-ar: warning: creating libopenbsd-compat.a
llvm-ranlib libopenbsd-compat.a

This also fails with a fallback gcc configuration.

Does this constitute a bug? I found no duplicates.

Here is the output of merge -pqv:
Code:
[ebuild     U ] net-misc/openssh-9.3_p1-r1 [9.3_p1] USE="X pam pie ssl -audit (-debug) -kerberos -ldns -libedit -livecd -security-key (-selinux) -static -test -verify-sig -xmss (-X509%) (-hpn%) (-sctp%)"

Here is the output of emerge --info:
Code:
Portage 3.0.44 (python 3.11.3-final-0, default/linux/amd64/17.1/systemd/clang/merged-usr, gcc-12, glibc-2.36-r8, 6.1.19-gentoo-x86_64 x86_64)

Per the documentation, these forums use BBCode, not Markdown. Please use code tags to preserve output layout.

Based on the information shown, we cannot determine if there is a bug or not, because you have not shown the original error message. Please follow the instructions Portage printed, and provide the complete build log.

Thank you, I fixed the post, I've provided most of the log here, but it is seemingly too big to fit in it's entirety. I've omitted some of the log that didn't look like important configuration information.
