XFCE now supporting wayland?

HI Guys
In today's update I was delighted to see

[ebuild     U  ] xfce-base/xfce4-panel-4.19.0::gentoo [4.18.0::gentoo] USE="X%* dbusmenu wayland%* -introspection -vala" 1,451 KiB
[ebuild     U  ] xfce-base/thunar-4.18.2:0/3::gentoo [4.18.1:0/3::gentoo] USE="exif libnotify pcre trash-panel-plugin udisks -introspection" 2,721 KiB
[ebuild     U  ] xfce-base/xfdesktop-4.19.0::gentoo [4.18.0::gentoo] USE="X%* libnotify thunar wayland%* (-debug%)" 2,096 KiB

USE="wayland" being applied.
But not for xfce4-session.
Does xfce now work in wayland?
How to invoke it?

1st -- it's a WIP !!!!!!!

2nd -- not all of xfce works in wayland, panel does (remember still a wip, so don't be surprised by hiccups)
I believe thunar works, but I don't know the status the desktop portion.

Best place to check on individual components re: wayland is the git for various things being worked on
