[solved] The new bios enabled secure boot by default for Windows 11.
I forgot that there are two places in the BIOS to disable security. I needed to turn it off under Advanced -> Windows Security.
*****************
The new CPU is working, windows boots.
Even though I disabled secure boot in the BIOS, I'm getting this message from grub:
Code: | Welcome to GRUB
error: prohibited by secure boot policy.
Entering rescue mode...
grub rescue> |
I did update the BIOS to ensure I had the latest for Zen 3, and I guess it might be borked, but...
I have googled this, but it only makes sense if I have secure boot enabled in the BIOS. Without it enabled, I shouldn't need to do anything with grub.
I'm hoping for a miracle from one of you guys.
Thanks in advance. _________________ Some day there will only be free software. |
