I assume you mean wifi and bluetooth work under debian rootfs?

I wonder if you missing kernel module? Did you copy from debian's rootfs/lib/modules/5.16.17-sun50iw6/* to gentoo's rootfs/lib/modules/5.16.17-sun50iw6/ ?

If you copied all the kernel modules then I guess it mean you missing dtoverlay, do you know how your platform device tree (dt/fdt) load by u-boot? Do you have access to u-boot prompt?

if I do have access to u-boot prompt? not i don't know how to do it jet

yes I have copy rsync -avsPs from debian /lib/modules to gentoo's /lib and there is modules/5.16.17-sun50iw6

I have another Orange Pi running Debian beside Gentoo's one on the same network

I'm not sure how to retrieve the device tree :P

but reading I got at look inside Debian
Code:
ls -lR1 /proc/device-tree/
http://dpaste.com/3LUZ8JYBD

And Correct I mean the wifi and bluetooth on debian works just great !

anything you need, Thank You!

denn0n,

In this case it looks to me just need some tools to manage bluetooth/wifi. unfortunately I don't use them, so I don't know what tool you need to install in order to get them working.

Hopefully someone what is familiar to bluetooth/wifi can step in an help.

One suggestion, have you try to compare you debian node to gentoo node?
  • compare loaded module?
  • compare running processes?
  • compare up running services? This is just in hope a service name can give some clue what is needed.

denn0n.

u-boot usually have a few second delay at beginning, you can interrupt autoboot by pressing a key.

Access u-boot is not impotent at this point since you can see your device tress at linux /proc file system.

I try to load al the sames modules from Debian to Gentoo's

but there is a lot of differences

denn0n,

In Debian modules output,
  • bluetooth 602112 44 rfcomm,bnep,hci_uart,btqca,btrtl,btbcm,btintel, Live 0xffff800000fad000
  • cfg80211
  • rfkill 32768 8 bluetooth,cfg80211,sprdbt_tty, Live 0xffff800000ddb000
I think are relate to bluetooth and wireless

My search on Internet about the topic for bluetooth and wifi relate to Debian and Gentoo

pingtoo thank you

i have found in https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Kernel_Modules

you can find all the modules available to be loaded in the current kernel

whit
Code:
find /lib/modules/$(uname -r) -type f -name '*.ko*'
and thats give a list of the modules on
Code:
/lib/modules/5.16.17-sun50iw6/
it's lage almost 3 k modules but what I did was check the list of the loaded modules on debian on those available modules,I did it whit some php file and i got this

Code:

How did you load those additional modules in gentoo node?

Please do not manually load modules (i.e using /etc/modules-load.d/* or /etc/modprobe.d) unless you know it is necessary

Please try to setup those services I suggested in my previous port. with those services, modules will be loaded if necessary.

Where did you get your kernel from ??
My guess is you are missing some patches.

I have a 3 LTS. When I first built my kernel the stock source I got from orangepi's git repository did not have what I needed enabled so I had to turn on the modules I needed in menuconfig. I think that's because their defconfig is still based on the 3 not the 3 LTS.

You should be able to get the AW859A firmware from OrangePi's github repository.

While I cannot guarantee you need each of these, I think you do in your kernel configuration. (Use menuconfig, dont set them manually because they probably have dependencies)

CONFIG_AW_WIFI_DEVICE_UWE5622=y
CONFIG_WLAN_UWE5622=m
CONFIG_SC2355=m

The module should be sprdwl_ng.ko
