Save benchmark.sh into ut2004demo/Benchmark dir.

Code:

#!/bin/sh
../ut2004demo dm-rankin?spectatoronly=true?numbots=12?quickstart=true?attractcam=true -benchmark -seconds=77 -ini=default.ini -exec=../Benchmark/Stuff/botmatchexec.txt $*

Save botmatchexec.txt in ut2004demo/Benchmark/Stuff

Code:

showhud
ship

Run the Benchmark and post the results / system info.
Benchmark results in ~/.ut2004demo/Benchmark dir

Mine:
athlon xp1800@1.75ghz (166fsb) / 512 ram / geforceti4600 / 5336 nvidia drivers

Going to re-run the test with the xp1800 running at 1.82ghz see if it helps the fps any.

the benchmark excites with:
Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0".

the game itself runs without any problem...
anyone knows how to fix?

i'm also getting the Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0". error,

is that kind of performance normal with ati drivers (i'm using 3.70) or is something wrong with my system?

You'll have to find another culprit for why it exits.

@blackhole: the 3.7.0 drivers are pretty crap in UT2K3/2K4 for me. The 3.2.8 driver should be a lot better.

I get that Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0". error also. It happens everytime in the sameplace in the benchmark. When the guy runs up the wooden sloped plank and fires 2 maybe 3 rockets.

I been looking for a fix cause I really wanted to see what my system could do in it.

BTW, I have tried all nvidia drivers from 4496 on up to 5336. None of them fixed the problem from what I could see. :(

If anyone is dual booting 64 and 32 bit installs I'd love to see the performance from both systems. I know the 64 bit isn't supposed to be all that optimised but it'd still be interesting to see.

The XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD message is useless. It is there simply for people who have purchased the X server from XiG (which adds nothing, though you can find them at http://www.xig.com.)

thanks for mentioning nvclock, looks very handy ... but got strange results in this test: overclocked my Gainward ti4200 (very good overclocker) from a default 250MHz/444MHz to 310MHz/550MHz, and i actually get worse results 8O
Under windows with these settings it gives quite an impressive boost, but linux seems not to like it tho :(

Any ideas about this ?
