Hello there, I got a problem with my gentoo kde desktop, when i sort my desktop icons and reboot the pc than they are unsortet again, but when they are unsortet and i reboot, than they will stay like that, untill I sort them again. I havent found anything in the internet about that. My kde-plasma-version is: 5.25.5 KDE-frameworks-version: 5.96.0, Qt-version: 5.15.5, Kernel: Linux 5.15.69-gentoo, windowsystem X11. Its not a new error, i think its about a year old (today it anoyed me so much, that I wrote here). i hope someon will help me.

Next time you want to unmask a KDE product, just go to KDE overlay and download a ready made list:

https://gitweb.gentoo.org/proj/kde.git/plain/Documentation/package.accept_keywords/kde-frameworks-5.99.keywords
https://gitweb.gentoo.org/proj/kde.git/plain/Documentation/package.accept_keywords/kde-plasma-5.26.keywords

Replace your manual list with those and make a world upgrade, increase backtrack if necessary.

I've been experiencing something similar, in my case the layout and wallpaper change. Icons change size, go from colums to rows etc. Interestingly, it doesn't seem to happen if I leave "show previews" ticked. :?
