I've recently upgrade Gentoo with LXQT as desktop from version 1.0.0 to 1.1.0 and many desktop icons disappeared. (basic icons of groups in launch menu)
Tried
Code:
gtk-update-icon-cache

but it didn't help.
Is it known bug? I didn't found anything.

this could be a QT rendering problem with SVGs.

have you tried loading other Themes or and Icons?

EDIT:

now version 1.1.1 is available - and look if lxqt-base/lxqt-qtplugin was also updated.

Don't think I've seen any reports about this yet.

Which Qt Style, Icons Theme, and LXQt Theme are you using, and does changing those have any effect?

here's an old thread - seems similar.

Thanks everybody for replies.
Solution is quite simple - in LXQT visual settings -> Icons settings -> set icon theme

Somehow upgrade unset it. It happened to me on 2 different computers. Changing default LXQT theme didn't helped.

Did you still have the same theme available there?

I was thinking earlier if the theme you were using before got '--depclean'ed unintentionally, and nothing replaced it automatically.

hmm can't confirm I suppose it was (and is) kde-frameworks/oxygen-icons (older installation date - not installed with recent LXQT upgrade)
I have still two computers unupdated so I will check them soon.

ok, can confirm, upgrade of LXQT from 1.0.0 to 1.1.0 unselects icon theme (oxygen icons in my case) had to select it again.

Thanks!

That is the icons theme I have been using as well, but don't remember seeing this (I tend to use the 9999 versions though).

One more thought: is that the only theme you have in the list?

Icons didn't disappear on the last LXQT instance on laptop. There were approx. 8 icon themes and oxygen kept selected.
